Allan J “A.J.” Reynolds, EA

Mr. Reynolds has immense experience in various areas of taxation, which encompasses over 28 years.  His practice centers on Individual, Business and Estate Tax preparation. In addition, Mr. Reynolds specializes in IRS Audits, Appeals, Collections, Innocent Spouse, Independent Contractor vs. Employee Issues, and Civil Tax Fraud Representations.

Mr. Reynolds lectures for Basics+Beyond Income Tax Seminars and Iowa State University Center for Agricultural Law & Taxation Annual Federal Income Tax Schools.

Mr. Reynolds started his tax career with a National CPA firm in San Diego, CA after proudly serving five years in the United States Navy of which three and one half years were aboard a Guided Missile Destroyer.

Mr. Reynolds became a shareholder in the firm in 1991.

Mr. Reynolds is a member of the National Association and Iowa Society of Enrolled Agents and a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals.

Mr. Reynolds is an enrolled agent (EA), which is a federally licensed tax practitioner who has technical expertise in the field of taxation and is empowered by the United States Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers for audits, collections and appeals before all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service. Enrolled agents are the only taxpayer representatives who receive their right to practice directly from the United States government (certified public accountants and attorneys are licensed by states and their licenses are state specific). Unlike attorneys and certified public accountants, who may or may not choose to focus on taxes, all enrolled agents specialize in taxation.

Outside his tax practice, Mr. Reynolds is a member of the Diocese of Sioux City Priests’ Pension & Welfare Board and the Investment Advisory Board for the Diocese.

When not working, Mr. Reynolds time is spent in various activities with his wife and their two children.

Brenda Hunt

Brenda has vast experience in the areas of payroll and sales tax compliance. She has been with the firm since 1979 and became a shareholder in 1991.

Brenda is a Notary Public.

Also, Brenda handles the monthly bookkeeping compilations for a number of our clients.

Futhermore, Brenda prepares the payroll and sales tax daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports, depositories, and filings for our clients and is proficient with the federal laws and Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota state laws in these areas.

Outside of the firm, Brenda is a very active member of her church and enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and four grandchildren.
